Honest and Literal is here to share stories of the words that, when taken literally, create a moment of social friction.
We are inspired by lives of people on the autism spectrum (including ourselves). The goal is to shine light to neurodivergent perspective in a neurotypical world, and to do so humorously.
Why? We've learned that humor is more attractive than other forms of activism that employ shame or yelling, and we'd like some attention on some of the common aspects of the lived autistic experience.
Perhaps through these stories, the humans of the world can develop a slightly more compassionate and accurate way of relating to each other.
Please share our stories with people who you think would benefit from feeling heard in their literal thinking, or just someone who you think would enjoy a laugh today.
